ALD NanoSolutions, Inc. and Tyco Electronics Announce Collaboration Agreement

Particle ALD™ coating platform to be used to develop advanced electronic materials and applications.

Broomfield, Colo.  – February 10, 2010 – ALD NanoSolutions, Inc. (ALDN), the leader in digital coating solutions for composite materials, announced today an alliance with Tyco Electronics (NYSE: TEL) to develop surface coatings for a variety of electronics applications.  Under the long-term agreement, the companies will work together to utilize ALDN’s surface engineering technology to develop and fabricate thin films for certain electronic applications designed to specifically enhance performance.  Full press release.

January 5, 2010 – ALD NanoSolutions is pleased to announce that the Japanese and Canadian patent offices have issued allowance on a critical patent application which covers performing atomic layer deposition (ALD) onto polymer surfaces and particles.  Full press release.

ALD NanoSolutions Awarded $150,000 Phase I STTR ARRA DOE Grant

November 24, 2009 – ALD NanoSolutions, Inc. has announced the award of a $150,000 Phase I Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant from the Department of Energy for “Scale-up of the Nanomanufacturing of Coated Powders for Superior Battery Electrode Materials.” This award is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).  Full press release.

February 2009 – ALD NanoSolutions, Inc. has announced the award of a $622,595 Phase II Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) for “Protecting Polymers from the Natural Space Environment with Films Grown Using Atomic Layer Deposition.” The award will be used to develop customized coating solutions for protecting polymers commonly used on space vehicles from damage due to radiation, ions, and oxidation.
